This week we’re proud to welcome BCW board director, Jo Swift, to the newly created role of Managing Director of Greenhouse PR.
As our new Managing Director, Jo Swift will oversee Greenhouse PR’s rapidly expanding London and Bristol offices, as we work with pioneers in social and environmental change to accelerate climate action. In the last two years we have achieved rapid growth – at a rate of 50% per year – to achieve a fee income of more than £3 million.
A leader in corporate communications and agency operations, Jo brings over 20 years of experience and has represented many high profile global and UK organisations. Jo’s move to Managing Director of Greenhouse was prompted by her interest and concern about the climate crisis, and a desire to use her skills to drive positive social and environmental change.
“I am so impressed by Greenhouse PR and energised by its values-led ethos, people and outstanding work.It is exciting to join the company at such an interesting time in its evolution as the agency launches services in public affairs and digital, in addition to a focus on driving behaviour change. There has never been a greater or more urgent need to use effective communications to scale positive change, and I feel privileged to join such a pioneering and inspiring team.”
Anna Guyer, Greenhouse founder and CEO, added:
“With growing significance and recognition of the seriousness of climate change, we need the very best PR professionals to be using their skills and talents to help accelerate climate action and deliver real impact. Jo is highly driven, strategically brilliant and has exemplary leadership skills – making her the ideal person to help lead the organisation during this period of growth.”
For the last 18 months, Jo has been working at board level as Chief Integration Officer for BCW UK, overseeing the merger of Cohn & Wolfe and Burson Marsteller and the successful integration of over 200 staff in the London office.
Before that, she was Deputy Managing Director of Cohn & Wolfe’s Corporate team, creating campaigns for clients including Ferrero, Lloyds Banking Group, Tetra Pak, Warburtons, Diageo Plc and Royal Mail.
Greenhouse was highly commended in the Specialist Consultancy of the Year category at the PRWeek awards and doubled in size during 2019. Our client portfolio spans energy, clean tech, corporate, campaigns and consumer, with notable recent client wins including Jordans Cereals, ReGen Future Capital, COP26 Climate Action Summit and Green Economy Coalition.
We look forward to working with Jo as we continue to use the power of communications to drive positive social and environmental change.
