CAROLINE DOBBIN, ACCOUNT DIRECTOR
Why the picture.
I’m in front of the Blackfriars train station in London, which is also the largest solar-powered bridge in the world. The bridge itself has been part of London’s infrastructure since the thirteenth century, and used to feature water-powered grain mills. Now it generates its own power and is an amazing testament to how even huge urban centres like London can keep innovating and adapting to meet the challenges of the present day. Every time I look at it I’m reminded that you can find sustainable solutions in the most unlikely places.
What I believe in.
Although humans are responsible for some of the technologies which have led to the climate crisis, we also have the ability to solve it. This requires a truly collaborative and inclusive approach, and effective communication is vital for achieving this.
Why I do what I do.
A lot of the energy and technology solutions which can make the world a cleaner place already exist – we just need them to become available at scale. I want to help the businesses making those solutions reach the right audiences and make that a reality.
What I do at Greenhouse.
As part of the Energy and Clean Tech team, I work with businesses across the spectrum – from well-established players who are making a shift to green power, to challengers and start-ups who have the potential to shake up the market. My goal is always to help them to tell their story in the right way to the right people so that they can achieve genuine impact.
